L'Anja Barbic
Life & Leadership Coach
I’m L’Anja, owner of Roots 2 Rise Coaching. I am a little bit of everything all rolled up in one. I’d never say I’m one thing. What I am is human, with all sorts of dimensions... from slapstick humor to did she just say that... from serious and deep to light and silly, from social to hermit, and so much more. I will never pretend to know it all. I am a forever learner, but what I do know is that I am not here for myself alone. I believe in connectivity and community, that we were never meant to ride solo (though I have been an “I’ll do it myself” gal in the past). I have ALWAYS had a desire and a way about me to uplift others, to shine the light on their power when they feel dim, to help put a little more pep in their step... a “hell no, you are so much more than that.” I thrive on seeing others succeed in whatever way that looks like for them. Want better daily habits? Want to learn to communicate better? Want to run the world? Want to stop the self-sabotage or negative self-talk? Whatever it is, I want that for you.
I’ve spent close to thirty years in leadership: retail, law firm, business consulting, team building, operations. I know how to build things, hold things, and keep things moving when everything around me says otherwise. For a long time, that was the whole identity. The responsible one. The strong one. The one who holds it all together. I wore every one of those like a badge until I realized most of them weren’t mine to wear.
What I couldn’t see for most of those years was how much of it was running on survival mode I’d been carrying since childhood. I wasn’t just leading. I was outrunning. And honestly? I was damn good at it. Which made it even harder to stop.
The work I did to slow down, look at all of it honestly, and rebuild from the roots up is what became Roots 2 Rise Coaching. It wasn’t fast. It wasn’t pretty. But it was the realest thing I’d ever done.
Now I coach people who are ready for that kind of real. Some are in transition. Some are already thriving and hungry for more. Some just have a feeling they can’t shake. All of them are capable. What I bring is heart, nearly three decades of experience, intuition, and a willingness to say the honest thing even when it’s the harder thing to say.
